Plus or Minus

The only two Warriors starters with a positive +/- were Steph Curry and Draymond Green.  Hindsight is always 20/20, but it’s usually the case that if you keep your best players on the court for more minutes you’re more likely to win the game.  Though overcoming 28% three point shooting makes it tough to win.

Also interesting in this game is the breakout performance of Quentin Grimes who dropped 44 points to lead the Sixers to victory.  He made 18 of 24 shots for a 75% field good percentage, which is off the charts.  However, and I don’t mean to rain on this former Knicks' parade, his +/- was negative (-5), which means the Warriors outscored the Sixers by 5 total points while Grimes was on the floor.  On the one hand, his shooting is largely the reason the Sixers won the game, but on the other it could also be said if he played more minutes they would’ve lost.  Strange how that works, isn’t it?
