Bench Five

The New York Knicks squeaked out a win against the Detroit Pistons yesterday 94-93 on a controversial (to some) no-call last second missed shot by the Pistons. The Knicks' win was unusual, as they only had 5 bench points and 3 players score in double digits. Brunson led the way with 32 points and KAT had 27, combining for 63% of the team's total points.
Three of the Knicks starters played over 40 minutes, which is a heavy workload in typical Thibs fashion. Despite this atypical offensive performance, which was reminiscent of the Eastern Conference Playoffs battles of the 80's and 90's, the Knicks won this game due to the Pistons' poor three-point shooting (7 for 29, 24%).
