Missing Maxey

Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges put on a show at the Garden, leading the Knicks to a 110-105 win over the Sixers. Brunson dropped 34 and Bridges added 28, but Maxey kept Philly in it with 30 points. Shout out to Kelly Oubre, Jr. and Paul George who had 27 and 25, respectively. My point, however, is that Tyrese struggled with efficiency, shooting 37% overall and missing 20 of his 32 total shots, including all 10 of his three-point attempts. As you can see on the left side of this shot chart which features only Maxey’s shots, it was a tough shooting night for the Sixers star; but I’ll give him a pass as he’s dealing with a hand injury. FWIW, Brunson was the leading scorer in the game on only 8 made shots. He did his damage from the charity stripe, going 15-16, which was the difference in the game.
