The #23 Kansas Jayhawks got whooped by the BYU Cougars 91-57 in this men’s basketball game; the 3rd worst loss in Jayhawk history. This beating was so bad one would think Jimmer Fredette made a cameo appearance, though their 39% three-point shooting wasn’t especially stellar. BYU did its damage in the paint as their overall FG% was over 51%. As a sign of their offensive strategy, 55% of their total shots were from three point range.
Kansas, on the other hand, made only 36% of their total shots, including 28% from beyond the arc; and they only had 2 players score in double-digits; with their highest scorer accounting for only 12 points. This shot chart is especially brutal for the Jayhawks… LOTS of empty circles from all over the court–including inside the paint. Yikes!
